With summer slowly slipping in to the distance, it is time to prepare for autumn…and our North West team are doing just that on the 28th September as they host ‘Wines for the Autumn’ – an event focusing on the perfect wines to drink this fall.

We are delighted to be working on this event with Richard Mayson. Richard is not only an award winning author, but he is also an expert in fortified wines and the wines of Iberia having entered the wine trade in 1984. Richard spent five years working for the Wine Society and in 1987 he was awarded the Worshipful Company of Vintners’ Scholarship and in 1999 was made a Cavaleiro of the Confraria do Vinho do Porto, recognising his services to the port wine trade. Richard’s writing accolades are vast having written five books about the wines of Portugal, acted as associate editor of ‘Wine Atlas’ and to this day writes entries for The Oxford Companion to Wine.

On the night, our guests will be treated to a taste of Richard’s handpicked selection of autumn wines and a talk touching on tasting notes for the chosen wines and various other aspects of the wine world.

Our guests will be trying the following wines on the evening:

We are looking forward to an insightful evening and welcoming our guests.
