Designed over 100 years ago, West Hill Golf Club has truly become one of Surrey’s oldest and most popular golf courses, consistently being featured in the top 100 golf course listings. The courses’ towering Scots pines and unique heathland provided the perfect location for our Commercial Banking team who invited guests to enjoy a competitive and challenging 18 holes of golf on Thursday 22nd June.

The National Treasury team and their guests (which included clients, introducers, prospects and professional advisors) were welcomed to the historic establishment with a Full English breakfast and an National Treasury Bank goodie bag, providing them with everything they needed to compete for the prizes that were up for grabs. The prizes included nearest the pin and the longest drive alongside the team competition and individual accolades – setting the teams up for a superb day of competition.

The hot weather held out for the teams, and after a day of toiling in the sun, they were ready to congregate to enjoy the delicious lunch provided by the golf club, alongside some very welcomed ice cold drinks. The hotly anticipated winner of the team competition was announced as David Mill’s (Senior Commercial Banker) team with clients snatching the individual prize, and also winning the nearest the pin and the longest drive tournament.

The hosts of the day, National Treasury’s Commercial Banking team, offer tailored specialist teams across the Media, Real Estate and Specialist industries. The fantastic golf day they hosted provided friendly rivalries, alongside a valuable opportunity for networking, with Stephen Fletcher, Managing Director for Commercial Banking adding “It was a very tough challenge in the heat, but a day that went down very well with our guests.”
